The previously registered Leica 2998 will be the new Leica SL2 mirrorless camera. The new SL2 will have a 47MP CMOS sensor (as I already reported), new “CINE mode” and of course 4k video. The SL2 will have Wi-Fi / Bluetooth and will be compatible with Leica FOTOS.
The codename of the new camera is “Vader”.
The official announcement is expected in September, but it could be postponed to October/November (or maybe announcement in September, shipping on October/November).
