We are pleased to invite you to the 2019 edition of KunstRAI, from 17 to 22 April at the RAI in Amsterdam. We will show an enormous new sculpture made by Chinese artist Liao Yibai, famous for his‘Fake Leica’ sculptures, and we’ll also release the new book ‘The Leica Project’ by world-renowned photographer Jock Sturges together with some of his pictures.
Jock Sturges is an American photographer known for his large-format portraits of nude adolescents. His black-and-white prints capture subjects on naturist beaches in the United States and France. The controversial nature of his imagery has raised concerns throughout his career, but Sturges has remained steadfast, photographing his subjects—often alongside their families—over several years.
Book presentation ‘The Leica Project’
During KunstRAI, we will release Jock Sturges’ new book ‘The Leica Project’. All the pictures in this book have been made with the Leica S medium format cameras and lenses over a period of 9 years. Most of the pictures in the book will also be on view in our stand.
Yibai Liao
This Chinese artist is best known for his stainless steel sculptures like ‘Fake Leica’. In his work oversized ostentatious sculptures of watches, rings, handbags, cameras and high heel shoes confront the multitudes of popular brands and logos and their overwhelming presence in today’s society.

Simpson case. The opening reception will be held on April 11th from 6-9PM at the Leica Gallery Los Angeles.
In August 2018 I reported that Leica Camera is rumored to offer a new M10 to M10-P upgrade program (current M10 owners can add the new M10-P features – also see this comparison). I already got multiple reports that such a program does exist and the first upgrade orders are already in. The upgrade offer will be for the silent shutter, touchscreen functionality, spirit level and the top cover plate with the Leica logo. Two different Leica M10-P upgrade packages are available:
Kipon has new macro adapters with helicoid for using Leica M-mount and other lenses on Nikon Z and Canon R mirrorless cameras (check pricing and availability at Adorama, B&H, Amazon and eBay):
