Today, Leica Camera AG have announced a revolutionary new camera model: the Leica Virgin. At the heart of the innovative new concept is the unprecedented design of the viewfinder, which always displays the exact image you would achieve with a lens of any given focal length.

The viewfinder enables a stepless adjustment of settings from 24 to 135 mm (small format equivalent). Most remarkably, however, the Leica Virgin no longer requires the use of actual lenses, as the image files are stored neither on film nor memory cards. Instead, the files are recorded directly onto the appropriate areas of the photographer’s cerebral cortex.
