Few observations on the Leica M10 spy shot

Some observations and comments for the Leica M10 spy shots I published last week:

  • The camera appears to be larger than the M8/M9.
  • There is an unusual lens attached to the camera.
  • The way the camera is held suggests that there is live view (which has been mentioned before).
  • There seems to be a port under the flash hot shoe – maybe for an external EVF, similar to the Leica X2.
  • The pictures were taken at a place that is linked/related/close to Leica. Those are not random shots on the street. I had to crop the images in order not to reveal the location. I may publish the full images in the future, but they will not reveal more about the camera.

Leica M9-P “Meister Camera” limited edition with a redesigned Summicron-M 28mm f/2 ASPH lens

There is a new Leica M9-P limited edition camera dedicated to the 10 years anniversary of the German photo store Meister Camera with locations in Berlin, Hamburg and Munich. Only 50 pieces will be produced with a price tag of 12.000,00 €. The camera has grey engravings and leatherette. The interesting part is that the included Summicron-M 28mm f/2 ASPH lens looks different than the regular production model – it includes a newly designed metal lens hood:

Leica Camera may move their stock listing to Hong Kong

Leica Camera may consider listing their stock in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Economic Times reported. Alfred Schopf, Chief Executive Officer of Leica Camera AG, was cited as saying that the company will seek to strengthen its brand in the next three to five years following a stock delisting in Germany. He added that getting listed in Hong Kong is a possibility for the company in the future, according to the report.
