A decisive Leica M9-P moment in Paris next week

Update: the “Decisive Moment” in Paris next week will actually be a two days event: June 21-22, 2011.

The announcement of the Leica M9-P and the new 21mm M lens will happen in Paris next week. The event is organized by Leica Camera and Magnum Photos. I do not expect any other products to be announced, but a surprise is always a possibility in Leica’s world (remember the X1 on 09.09.09?). I am still getting conflicting reports on the actual date of the event – some websites reported June 21st, other sources mentioned June 22nd. Either way, I will be covering the latest developments in real time on the blog as well as on Twitter and Facebook.

  • 50mm with minimum focus distance of 0.75m was able to focus at 0.38m
  • 75mm with minimum focus distance 1.2m was able to focus at 0.73m
