Leica X1 firmware version 2.0 is now in beta testing. Some of the improvements are faster AF and improved manual focus. The new firmware is expected to be released in 6-8 weeks.

Leica X1 black “Jochen Rindt” limited edition

For the 40th anniversary of Jochen Rindt’s death, the Leica Shop in Vienna presents the Leica X1 Edition ‘Jochen Rindt’. Only 68 cameras of this limited edition are produced and the price is 2,150 EUR. The camera comes with an original photograph of Jochen Rindt by Peter Coeln taken six days before his tragic crash in Monza.

Leica D-Lux 4 vs. D-Lux 5: ISO comparison (part 2)
