Last year I reported on the Leica M-A “Leica Historica” 50th anniversary limited edition set, but the information was very limited – basically only from a magazine cover:
Coming soon: new Leica limited edition camera to mark the 50th anniversary of “Leica Historica”
The edition is now all sold out, and I can share some additional pictures of what I think is probably the best-looking Leica camera ever made:

To mark the 50th anniversary of Leica Historica, Leica presented two exclusive special editions in 2025, each limited to just 50 pieces:
- The LEICA M-A LEICA HISTORICA 1975–2025 features a silver chrome finish with light blue genuine leather covering. The top plate and body feature the anniversary engraving as well as an individually numbered limited-edition engraving.
- The second edition is the LEICA APO-SUMMICRON-M 1:2/35 ASPH. LEICA HISTORICA 1975–2025 produced for the first time in a silver chrome finish and in Leica’s so-called “Vintage Design”, inspired by the styling of Leica M lenses from the 1950s and 1960s.
