A “chargrilled” fire-damaged Leica M4 camera with a Summicron 50mm lens sold for £1,200 ($1,670) at a recent auction in the UK (the final price with fees was £1,488 0r $2,070). The camera belonged to photographer Jonathan Bloom and got damaged in a house fire:

The 38th Leitz Photographica Auction (previously reported here) will take place on June 12, 2021, in Vienna and as usual, will have several interesting items, including a Jony Ive & Marc Newson designed Leica prototype camera (this was the base for the Leica M 240 RED camera that sold for $1.8 million, the Leica museum has another prototype):
