Lomography announced new RUSSAR+ 20mm f/5.6 lens for L39/M mounts

Today Lomography announced their new 20mm f/5.6 RUSSAR+ ART lens for L39 and M mounts. This lens is a rebirth of the legendary 1958 Russar MR-2, the mother of all modern non-SLR super wide-angle lenses. The lens is designed by Lomography and manufactured in Russia by Zenit. The Russar+ is compatible with all L39/M mount analogue and digital cameras. The lens is made from brass and is chrome-plated.

The Leica T type 701 camera is rumored to be announced this month, most likely on April 24th. I’ve said many times in the past that the new T model will not be a MFT camera and it will not be based on an existing Panasonic model. The new mirrorless solution from Leica will be an APS-C based interchangeable lens system camera with AF and without a rangefinder (it will probably have an optional EVF).
