The Leica Q/Q2 has no competition – the Zeiss ZX1 is now discontinued

The Leica Q/Q2 cameras no longer have any competition in the full-frame fixed lens segment – the Zeiss ZX1 is now discontinued:


The 37.4MP $6,000 Zeiss ZX1 camera is now listed as discontinued at B&H and is no longer even listed at Adorama and Amazon.

The Zeiss ZX1 was announced in October 2020 (see previous coverage).

Zeiss has not announced any new photography products in almost 4 years now.

The new Voigtlander ULTRON 75mm f/1.9 SC/MC VM lens for Leica M-mount available for pre-order, could be delayed

The Voigtlander ULTRON 75mm f/1.9 SC/MC VM lens for Leica M-mount was announced in January this year and it was supposed to start shipping on February 7th. Pre-orders in the US are already open at Adorama (coming soon at Amazon and B&H).

DJI released the L-mount lens unit for the Ronin 4D stabilized movie camera. The DJI Ronin 4D was launched in 2021 and the L-mount additional was announced last year when DJI joined the L-mount alliance :
