The Leica Store in Las Vegas is closed as of August 24th. If I am not mistaken, this was a Leica-operated store. The Las Vegas store was opened back in August 2015:
Until the end of August, both the black and silver TTartisan 35mm f/1.4 lenses for Leica M-mount are on sale for $349 (reg. price: $449 or $100 off). If you ever wonder how pictures taken with a lens with a broken aperture look like – a reader sent me a few samples from his Leica APO-Summicron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH lens that got damaged during shipping:
A LeicaRumors reader who prefers to remain anonymous purchased this rare Leica IIIg black paint camera with Elmarit 2.8/90mm lens from the Dominic Winter auction back in April of 2019 for £17,500 (around $23,800) after seeing my LeicaRumors blog post. Two years later the same camera was sold for €408,000 (over $477,000) at the 38th Leitz Photographica Auction that took place in Vienna on June 12, 2021. You can see the actual listing here:
Update – the reader who sold the camera told me that this particular model was listed in Laney’s Leica Collector’s Guide and it came with a letter of authenticity directly from Leica Camera in Germany.
