Leica Camera will not take part in the 2017 PhotoPlus Expo that takes place every year in New York City. This should not be a surprise since the relevance of those type of shows has been diminishing over the years.

I expect more companies to start dropping out of major photo shows, especially since Photokina already announced that from 2018 their shows will start taking place annually.

The new Leica TL2 mirrorless camera will be announced soon


The Japanese website Nokishita just confirmed what I already reported a week ago – the new Leica TL mirrorless camera will be announced soon:

  • The name of the new camera will be Leica TL2
  • There will be two different colors: 18187 (silver anodized) and 18188 (black anodized)
  • The new camera will use the current Leica BP-DC13 lithium-ion battery
