Leica may announce the new camera(s) on Monday

This is from a new source, so I am not sure how accurate that information is but Leica may announce their new camera(s) on Monday (April 12th). Not clear yet if it is going to be a V-Lux 20, a C-Lux 20, maybe both or something completely different.

The unofficial Leica M9 “a la carte” (sort of)

Update: I was told that the two M9 cameras from the video are special models made for Leica Futako-Tamagawa shop in Tokyo:

This is probably a custom job done by Leica – black Leica M9 with black Leica dot and engraved top plate (the black Leica dot can be purchased separately – check the M9 minisite):

If you are in New York

Starting tomorrow, there will be an exhibition in the Museum of Modern Art in New York – Henri Cartier-Bresson: The Modern Century.

“Henri Cartier-Bresson (1908–2004) is one of the most original, accomplished, influential, and beloved figures in the history of photography. His inventive work of the early 1930s helped define the creative potential of modern photography, and his uncanny ability to capture life on the run made his work synonymous with “the decisive moment”—the title of his first major book”

The exhibitions will be running from April 11 – June 28, 2010.

See previous posts on the Leica Cinema lenses here. The rumor has been around since 2008!

This could be a picture of the upcoming Leica C-Lux 20

A reader sent me a link to this photo on the new travel site which could be the new Leica C-Lux 20. If true, this confirms the previous information that it will be based on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7 model. Of course this could also be the old Leica C-Lux 3 but that model did not have built-in GPS.

It still not clear what the V-Lux 20 model is all about (maybe a joke?). I only received information about an upcoming point and shoot camera, nothing else.

You can see many other pictures on http://travel.leica-camera.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/1.jpg by changing the file name from 1.jpg to 2.jpg, etc. S0me of the pictures are NSFW.
