SUB13 announced the development of a new Leica M6/TTL film camera underwater housing

SUB13 (website) announced the development of a new Leica M6 film camera underwater housing. Following one year of design, SUB13 will release a single production run of 13 Leica M6 housings and 13 Leica M6 TTL housings. Each unit will feature a fully functional film advance lever machined from titanium. The detailed internal actuator is set behind a curved viewing window sculpted from sapphire glass, allowing owners to observe the complete motion of their film advance. The housing’s lever precisely mirrors the radius of the viewing window below, seamlessly blending form and function. Additional information:

  • Rated to 313ft
  • Fully functional, including frame counter viewing window, manual aperture control, aperture viewing window with 2 x magnification sapphire glass cyclops, and manual focus control.
  • One port allows for 7 different Leica M lenses
  • Machined out one solid piece of 6061 aluminum
  • All hardware is solid titanium, sandblasted, polished by hand, and then PVD coated
  • Only One Production Run
  • 13 M6 Classic and 13 M6 TTL
  • Hack – M7 will fit the M6 TTL housing
  • Prototype One is now in testing. Expected October 2024
