Today TTartisan announced a new red limited edition 50mm f/0.95 lens for Leica M-mount with ox engraved on the lens cap to celebrate the Year of the Ox. Only 500 pieces will be produced worldwide. For pricing and addition information, please check this Photo Rumors post.
There are multiples rumors online that in addition to Huawei, Leica is also also working with the Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus on future smartphones. This rumor is not yet confirmed.
Capture One will increase their prices next week (on January 11, 2021):
“At Capture One, we’re dedicated to shaping the future of photography. After reviewing our products and plans for future innovation, we’ll soon be updating the price of select products. For example, we’ll be updating the price of Capture One for Fujifilm, Capture One (for Sony) and Capture One for Nikon to bring them in line with Capture One Pro. This is to better reflect that these products equally offer the same set of professional tools and features. We’ll also increase activations to 2 per license for these products. The price updates take effect on January 11, 2021. Existing subscription plans will not be affected by these changes. New customers – and customers seeking to upgrade their license – can still purchase their preferred product or upgrade at the 2020 price before January 11.”
Capture One recently released version 14.0.1 that was specifically created to support the Capture One 21 collaboration with Leica Camera and supports the new Leica SL2-S mirrorless camera (see this dedicated page).

Cosina Japan reported today that the new Voigtlander APO-LANTHAR 50mm f/2 Aspherical VM lens for Leica M-mount will start shipping on January 27th. The lens is now currently available for pre-order in the US ($999) at Popflash and Adorama (Amazon and B&H should list the lens later today). In Europe the lens can be ordered at Jo Geier (€1,099).
