The limited edition Leica Monochrom “Ralph Gibson“ camera is (was) priced at 21,000 Euros (around $28,000). A total of 35 units were produced and my understanding is that they all sold out very quickly, just like any other Leica special edition model.

Almost a year after it started shipping, the black and silver versions of the Leica M type 240 cameras are both currently in stock at B&H and Leica Store Miami.
Several readers informed me that the Leica R-Adapter M (14642) is now shipping in Germany. While the similar Novoflex LEM/LER adaptor (also 6-bit coded) has been available for a while, the Leica version just started shipping now after some rumored problems with one of Leica’s suppliers. My guess is that the first units will reach the US next week.

A new Leica Boutique is coming to Camera West store in Walnut Creek, California. A official opening is planned for early March. Read more in this blog post.
Erwin Puts is working on a new 500 pages book called Leica Practicum that will start shipping in April and will be priced around EUR65 (incl. shipping). Leica Camera published some new renderings from Leitz Park – Leica Camera’s new headquarter located in Wetzlar, Germany (see the first video rendering here). There is still no firm date on the official opening, but based on the latest pictures it should be very soon – my guess is next month (February):
