Leica working on a M8 firmware update for the APO Summicron-M 50mm f/2.0 ASPH lens

In an email to a customer, Leica Camera confirmed that they are working on a new firmware update for the M8 digital rangefinder that will support the new Leica APO-Summicron-M 50mm f/2.0 ASPH lens (currently shipping in the US for $7,195.00).

Leica M (240) release date delayed till April 30, 2013

I received some information that the Leica M release date has been delayed. B&H also recently changed the expected availability date to April 30, 2013 (previously, the shipping date was February 28).

Leica S-System demo weekend in the new Leica Store in Miami

Dale Photo & Digital will soon open their new Leica store in Miami that will feature 1,000 square foot gallery, workshop/studio space and a high-end retail area that will display all current Leica products. You can check the new location and the upcoming Leica S system demo days next weekend.
