Leica TL mirrorless camera announced

Leica Camera today officially announced their new Leica TL camera and as I already reported, with the exception of few minor upgrades (32GB internal storage, improved AF-C and new iOS app). The UK price of the TL is £1,450 including VAT. The US price is $1,695 (check B&H, Adorama, Leica Store San Francisco, Leica Store Miami or PopFlash for pre-order options). CMOSIS announced a new 48MP full frame CMOS sensor

CMOSIS announced the industry’s first global shutter 48MP CMOS full frame sensor that supports 8k image resolution at 30 fps. Why did I post this here? CMOSIS is the sensor supplier for the Leica M Typ 240 cameras. It is still hard for me to believe that the new Leica M will have a 48MP sensor.

More Leica TL pictures leaked online

A few more pictures of the upcoming Leica TL mirrorless camera leaked online. I was told that the new model will not have any major/significant upgrades or any new technology/features from the previous Leica T (Typ 701) version, hence the same form factor. The TL will have a new/updated firmware (probably related to the previously rumored 1.6 firmware update). The built-in memory of the new model will be 32GB (vs. 16GB in the previous version). The new TL will be available in three different colors: black anodized, silver anodized and titanium color (not made from titanium).
