I wonder how this street in Burton, Ohio got its name:
The speed limit sign could be an indication of an upcoming Leica 35mm Elmar 🙂

Westlicht now has a full list of Leica cameras that will go for auction on December 4th, 2010. The “star” of this auction is this Leica MP2 black paint – the starting price is EUR 80.000 and it’s expecting to sell for around EUR 150000-180000:
“The MP-2 was the first experimental M cameras with electric motor drive built in the late 1950’s, only 6 cameras were produced in black paint finish, only 4 are known to exist”
Startup time
First, startup comparison – judging by the time it takes for the lens to be fully extended, the Leica D-Lux 5 has a faster strartup time than the D-Lux 4 (on the video, the D-Lux 5 is on the right):
The D-Lux 5 is also much quieter – the sound you hear on the video is coming from the D-Lux 4.
x17online reports that Brad Pitt’s Leica S2 camera got stolen in Budapest. The same website shows a series of pictures of the actor with what appears to be a Leica R8 camera (and not S2). At least we know that Mr. Pitt is shooting film 🙂
