New Leica M camera and lens sets introduced

Leica Camera introduced new Leica M camera and lens sets (pictured above):

Leica M Typ 262 set (Summarit-M 35mm, 50mm, 75mm f/2.4 lenses, SF 40 flash and ONA bag) – check pricing at B&H and Adorama
Leica M7 set (with Summicron-M 50mm f/2 lens) – priced at $5,795 in B&H and Adorama
You can also get a special price when you buy the Leica M Typ 240 or Leica M Monochrom (Typ 246) cameras together with a new M lens, but no details were provided on the exact savings. Update: in Europe you can get €1,800 off when you buy a new M camera with the 50mm Summilux lens (more combinations available here):

The spirit level / virtual horizon is coming back to the Leica M10 with a firmware update

Update on my last Leica M10 camera Q&A post regarding the missing spirit level/virtual horizon: I received several confirmations that Leica will put back this feature in one of the upcoming M10 firmware updates (probably will not be part of the upcoming 1.0.2.0).

Update: I received some conflicting information on this rumor, so we should see if this will happen.

Ebay finds: “scratched” Leica M9, custom underwater housing for Leica M240

Some interesting eBay finds: the first one is a “scratched” Leica M9 camera with “deliberately made heavy scratches on top and base plate” for that special Lenny Kravitz limited edition look.

The second eBay find for today is this custom-made underwater housing for the Leica M240 camera by The Sexton Corporation. The housing is certified for depths of 41 meters and includes a set of 3 focus and aperture rings that fit 50mm, 35mm and 21mm lenses:

Match Technical announced two new ThumbsUp models for the Leica Q Titanium and Leica M10 cameras:

ThumbsUp EP-SQ2 Titan for the Leica Q Titanium gray camera: check pricing and availability at Popflash and Leica Store Miami.

ThumbsUp EP-MX for Leica M10: check pricing and availability at Popflash.

For the M10 model Leica created their own thumb support which has a lower profile compared to the ThumbsUp and works pretty well (check pricing and availability B&H | Adorama):
